Kickstarter brings new potential games to the forefront every single day, and it’s up to developers to ensure that their game stands out from the pack. That’s certainly what the developer behind The Lost Legacy is aiming to do with their action adventure title. For in this top-down game, inspired by the original Legend of Zelda titles, you’re not just on an action-packed adventure, you’re immersed in a very deep story that you’ll want to complete. And that’s just the start of it.
Set in the realm of Loomia, you’ll travel to various places, see many different creatures, and battle your way through many monsters via hack-n-slash gameplay, with a few RPG elements added in as well. What’s more, The Untold Legacy features an open-world design, meaning you can go anywhere in the game at any time, it’s just up to you to decide where. The team wanted to take the best things from other open-world games, leave out the bad parts, and then add their own flair. Given that each area is hand-made by them, it appears they’ve done so.
Aside from the grandness of exploration and freedom, there are other familiar elements in the game. For example, you’re going to have a very special companion. But unlike most games, your companion is a talking shield named Shieldpa. Get it?
But that doesn’t mean that your own character won’t get attention. In fact, the team worked hard to show that your character grows from experiences. As you advance in the adventure you’ll see him physically change, as well as respond to situations different because he has past experience to back up his courage.
The Untold Legacy is attempting to get $60,000 raised, and it has until November 30th to get it. If you’re interested in finding out more, check out the Kickstarter page.
