As an Xbox One owner, I have been curious to finally have the chance to check out Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide on the console, thanks to it begin a part of the Xbox Live Games with Gold Program in December.
As we recently reported, the introduction of it to Games With Gold led to a huge influx of players rushing to check out the game, which ended up causing service disruptions as a consequence. This seemed to affect all platforms too, as a who new audience came to the fray to check out the first-person experience, and it’s something that went on for a few days.
We have since been getting updates on the up and down nature of the service loss since December 1st, with servers suffering from issues throughout this entire period. However, the latest update states the following:
“We’re back online, nothing to report. It was just a huge burp.”
This was after the service dropped yet again yesterday, but thankfully everything seems fine now. If the game does begin to grip you with its addictive nature, then you won’t have to wait too long for a sequel for the Warhammer franchise either, with Vermintide 2 set for release in Q1 2018.
In the meantime, Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
