Versus: Battle of the Gladiator is a multiplayer PvP action game in which you play as a slave gladiator that’s fighting to prove his worth. Today the game got an update where new skills for the Warhammer got added and two minor bugfixes came along too.
Exactly four new skills were added for the Warhammer, and you can go and buy them just like any other skill. Three of these skills are intended to be used as support skills that deal a minor amount of damage, and one is a charge attack that does a lot of damage and is probably best used as a finisher.
Let’s see what new skills were added and what they do!
Firstly, we have the Warhammer > Guardbreaker > Groundbreaker. This is a CC skill that knocks down its opponents. It does a low amount of damage, as it’s intended to be used as a team support skill. The stun isn’t very long, but it’s just enough for your team to land a finishing blow. The area of effect of the skills depends on the size of your hammer’s head. This Guardbreaker skill cost more than others and it can’t be leveled up.
The second skill is Warhammer > Guardbreaker > Watermill Breaker. This Guardbreaker also does minimal damage, but it blows your target away.
The third skill is Warhammer > Charge > Hammerhead Charge. It’s the only skill here that does quite a hefty amount of damage. It’s a charge attack with a long post-attack delay, so failing to kill your opponent with it will make you vulnerable to counterattacks, so this skill is best used as a finishing move.
Warhammer > Evasive Attack > Gatecrasher is the fourth and final skill that was added. Gatecrasher is an evasive attack that’s similar to Hammerhead Charge, but it has a much shorter post-attack delay but it also does less damage.
Two minor fixes also came to Versus: Battle of the Gladiator, and they fix a past event reward item called “Skull of the Fallen” that was supposed to have a flaming effect, but it didn’t show so it got fixed. Another thing was the ability to chain the Dual Wield “Sworddance” skill into itself, and that is also fixed now.
