At PAX East, many developers aim to show off their titles to the masses, from big names like Nintendo to indie companies such as Shiro Games, who are going to be at the event to show brand new content for their game Northgard. The game itself focuses on Vikings who have discovered a brand new land called Northgard, which recently arrived on Steam Early Access.
They set their sights on riches and glory, but soon find this land is much harsher than any they’ve experienced before. With vicious wolves, and the literal undead roaming around, and that’s not including the harsh environments or the giants that are also within this land. You’ll have to be clever, be fierce, and be strategic if you want to survive Northgard, or else be devoured by those who call it home.
At PAX East, Shiro Games will not only be showing off the game but unveiling a brand new clan that will be in a future update, meaning that even if you’re on Steam Early Access, you’re not going to see this group.
They’re called the Clan of the Raven, who are a group of great explorers and merchants, with a fleet that made them one of Northgard’s first settlers. If you want, you can become partners with them, which can get you access to trade options. However, you’ll want to be careful, this group schemes. They’re also wanderers, so you might find them all over Northgard.
Also, if you ally with them, you’ll get special bonuses and abilities, including the ability to send your forces to faraway places to get even more land. So, if you’re looking to get your strategy game fix, head to PAX East from Friday, March 10 to Sunday, March 12th and look for the Shiro Games booth, and check out Northgard. Remember, it’s on Steam Early Access too.
