Warface is a free-to-play FPS that has players in the role of soldiers tasked with taking down a group known as Blackwood. The secret to progress here is teamwork and strategy. That doesn’t mean, however, that you can’t have fun battling others in the PvP mode. And for Warface, the pinnacle of that is Ranked Matches.
As in other online games, Warface has seasons dedicated to ranked matches, with a new one having started on the 15th of February. This season will last until the 13th of March and will feature the “Plant The Bomb” mode.
To partake in Ranked Matches, players must first reach level 13. Once that’s dealt with, they will have access to the mode and be awarded a rank. This rank goes up by finishing matches. Much like other online titles, the goal is to match players and similar ranks and level of skill against each other. That way, there’s no unbalanced teams or experts fighting rookies.
Every single match you do, regardless of the result, will affect your ranking. Obviously, wins move your rank up while losses move you down. You get +1 to your rating if you win, while losses reward you -1. Don’t worry, though. You can’t go below zero. And if you leave a match before the result is handed out, you’ll also lose a point, so no rage quitting.
As stated, the mode of this Ranked Match season is “Plant the Bomb”. In this mode, one team attempts to plant a bomb in the enemy base. The other team will have to either diffuse it or wipe out the opposing team. The one who accomplishes their goal before the other wins.
There will be prizes handed out for those who do the best in the season. For a full breakdown of that, click here.
