The Warhammer series is one of the most robust franchises in gaming. Its deep universe has provided the setting for many different kinds both in story, and in genre. What’s more, it’s separated in two via the Warhammer and Warhammer 40K subgenres. And now, a renewed partnership is bringing for a brand new title for people to enjoy. It’s called Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War, and it’s aiming pretty high with its goals, as it wants to do things that no one has ever done before.
One of the most important parts of Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War is the mixture of story and gameplay. They wanted to make a “combat-focused system”, but one that is truly wrapped around a deep story. But also, there’s going to be an incredibly deep construction and management system. You’ll be building up your own cities, technologies, and even armies, and commanding them to do what you must.
Adding even more fun, and uniqueness, to the game is the fact that not only will there be four factions in the game in the form of Space Marines, Astra Militarum, Orks and Necrons, but each one will play drastically different from the others. We’re not just talking fighting styles here, we’re talking about how their cultures are, how they grow, even how they talk with one another. You’ll have to tailor yourself to them, as you won’t be able to use the same methods on two different species. But, it will allow you to see the game through many different eyes, and enjoy the experience in a new way each time.
The team put a lot of work into both the singleplayer and the multiplayer of the game. Both sides of the game are meant to give you very rich experiences. If you’re wanting to see more of the game, you won’t have to wait too long, as on December 1st, a deep preview of the game will arrive via a special event, and it’ll be live-streamed on Twitch.
