it looks like book burning is on the cards as the next DLC for Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide arrives with Death on the Reik.
This new DLC brings two new levels, including the Reikwald Forest and The River Reik, as well as new melee weapons, new achievements for you to unlock, and more. CEO of independent developer and publisher Fatshark, Martin Wahlund, stated:
“The announcement of Vermintide 2 does not slow things down for our heroes at present, as the Skaven continue to execute their insane plans and attacks. The adventure is still expanding, and all heroes are needed if we are to come out victorious”.
Meanwhile, you can find the trailer for Death on the Reik here, to get a sneak peek at what you’ll be experiencing:
The Death on the Reik DLC is available for $6.99/£6.99 if you’re interested in enhancing your Vermintide experience a little further. The release of the DLC does feel a bit strange for the time it’s being released, given that the highly anticipated sequel is just around the corner, with Vermintide 2 set for launch in Q1 2017.
So for some fans, it might seem a little odd to part with money for a DLC so late in the game so to speak, which also raises the question as to whether any of the new maps will carry over into the next game. Otherwise, paying for a DLC may seem a little off-putting for some. Still, if you wish to pick the DLC up to tide you over until the next game, it definitely looks awesome, and will more than likely be worth the short time to put into it.
