Warring States is one of those unique, quirky strategy games that gets overlooked by a lot of people. Which is quite a shame, since you can’t find many turn-based strategy games set in the Warring States period of Ancient China. The game is still in Early Access, but it’s coming along quite fine, and the newest update brings four new multiplayer maps!
Players have been requesting more maps for the multiplayer for quite a while now, and the developers listened. Four new maps (two small and two medium ones) have been added, and another, larger map, is coming next week, since if they tried to pack it with this update it would have delayed it.
We will go over each map with advice and a picture for you to see how they look like, so let’s get to it!
Small – South Sea Island
This small map will have two sides battling over who claims the island as their own. The positioning of your troops will be crucial in achieving victory.
Small – Bridge Control
The second small map has a small river that’s separating the land. There are two bridges on the map, and taking control of them will be crucial.
Medium – Hidden Paradise
The first medium map pits two armies head on a winding path. Position your ranged units along the banks and out of reach from the melee troops to assure your victory.
Medium – Serpents Way
The final map is located in a beautiful stone forest. You can use various path to travel around the sides of this clearing, so use this to your advantage!
That’s all of the maps that were added to this turn-based strategy, for now, but Update 20 also includes some bug fixes and some gameplay balancing.
