Watch Dogs 2 recently announced via Steam a new update that brings some cool free content. Included in that content is a highly-requested 4-player party mode that is coming along with a celebration of the Fourth of July. This update is going live on all platforms on July 4th, Tuesday.
First off, let’s talk about the 4-Player Party Mode which allows for free roam with your friends via the Multiplayer App that you need to have on your smartphone in order to use this mode. The app allows for 2-4 Players to join either a public or a private party mode which means that you can bring friends on your journey through the hills of San Francisco.
There’s plenty of features that come along with this mode such as Bounty, Invasion, PvP Loot Truck, Races, Showd0wn, Robot Boss Fight, and DedSec – Virus. These activities are filled with action and should be very entertaining. Activities such as Showd0wn and Bounty Hunter need players to sign up for a specific role and for these activities a voting screen will pop up in which you players get to do so.
Co-op mission won’t be playable in the 4-player party mode as they are designed only for co-op(2 players). Leader boards are also disabled in that mode because of it being only for four players but you are still able to get followers and cash.
Watch Dogs 2 wants you to celebrate Independence Day with your friends in a good view to watch the fireworks show. If you are too busy celebrating in real life, you still get to celebrate in-game as the holiday will be celebrated from July 4th until July 10th.
Besides this, only a few bug and issue fixes are in the patch notes. If you want to check that out for yourself, be sure to visit the announcement over at Steam.
