One common debate that has surfaced as of late is the request to bring back Mythic 10-man raids, with some claiming that the requirement of 20 players is causing this particular aspect to suffer.
This is certainly a valid argument, seeing as with the use of mythic 10-man there is 10 less players to worry about. The 20-man requirement isn’t so bad, but only on the highest populated servers. Reducing this to 10 could potentially attract players to return to the game, or at least keep those here more interested. Instead, for the time being, the best thing players can do in the meantime is to focus on Heroic before worrying about Mythic.
Past expansions have seen many issues coming to the MMORPG in terms of both 10 and 25-man heroic raids co-existing with sharing ilvl loot tables. This was because the former became much harder, with less people to handle the encounter mechanics that were featured, as well as restrictions on balance in instances such as melee vs. ranged. If having both 10 and 20 makes one easier with double the resources required to tune it, then it would again prove to be quite a mess for players to contend with.
It depends on whether or not Blizzard could possibly introduce something that made the current state of Heroic raids a bit more difficult, without having to have the size requirements that are in place. This would indeed be an uphill task for them however, considering how hard it would be to balance the mechanics of this.
