Given our love for all things MMO, we love to hear players’ most treasured experiences during their time in their favourite games. In this particular case, we are focusing on the MMORPG World of Warcraft, and showcasing some fan’s most memorable moments to date.
Kicked off on the Battle.net forums, user Shallin began a thread recollecting a memory of starting out on the Broken Shore. The lengthy post is followed up by fellow WoW players who share their favourite experiences, often centering around their first time of whatever they were doing, whether discovering a new area or simply firing up the game for the first time.
User Deveon shared: “First time logging in: was new to mmo’s, started mid tbc and rolled this very char, a human pala, wasn’t smart in tbc but I stuck with this one ever since. Elwynn forest was magical to me, the music, atmosphere, and the first time grouping up with another player (more for Hogger??)” whilst Ananda recalled discovering Stormwind for the first time: “The first time I walked into Stormwind as a very small & young paladin. The soaring towers and the soaring choral music. Magic!”
Other users recalled other milestones in their Warcraft lives such as Galantis “Buying my Spectral Tiger and Magic Rooster after playing the AH for eternity.” Daha meanwhile chose to reminisce about the demise of Vol’jin: “When I saw Vol’jin’s death cinematic. That’s my most enjoyable WoW experience. It’s actually the most pathetic death cinematic I’ve ever seen. He deserved it tho, he is a traitor of the Horde.”
