October finally marks the month of release of the long-awaited South Park: The Fractured But Whole. After a number of delays, the game will now release on October 17th, 2017, and will take up a total of 17.61GB on the Xbox One, and will be available on this particular platform through the Xbox Marketplace.
South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are returning to bring another RPG experience based in their critically acclaimed animated universe. The Fractured But Whole serves as the follow up to South Park: The Stick of Truth. This time around, players will once again take on the role of the new kid, although now it will be swapping out the last game’s narrative for the superhero alter-egos that we have seen in the show, as players join up with Coon and Friends in a bid to save the city, therefore becoming the most popular team ever seen.
The way in which The Fracture But Whole refreshes the series is particularly entertaining, with Eric Cartman simply changing the game up from The Stick of Truth to start something completely new, as kids do. With any luck, and from what we have seen so far it is bound to be, a roaring laugh from start to finish.
The Stick of Truth was an absolutely hilarious experience from start to finish, especially for fans of the South Park franchise. It offered fans the chance to explore the quiet mountain town and interact with characters from the show in such a detailed way, with plentiful references to go off of. Not to mention the ability to Roshambo your opponents, which was a particular personal highlight.
